Over the past two decades, Lebanon has experienced significant population growth, particularly in the Achrafieh region, a densely populated and highly frequented area.
However, this rapid urban expansion, compounded by the country’s ongoing economic challenges, has had serious repercussions on public health infrastructure.
The situation was further exacerbated by the devastating Beirut port explosion on August 4, which severely damaged existing healthcare facilities. In response to this urgent need, the project aims to establish an emergency dispensary in Achrafieh.
The general approach of the project follows a simple, scalable, modular and combinatorial structural system, which fits neatly into this high-density urban site.
